ASU Tallies Three All-Americans on Day Two of the Outdoor Championships

PUEBLO, Colo. – The Angelo State track & field teams collected three All-American honors on the second day of the 2025 NCAA Division II Outdoor National Championships, in Pueblo, Colo.
 
The fifth-ranked Rams currently sit in 10th overall with 11 teams points while the 17th-ranked Rambelles are in 19th with five points.
 
Mark Burdin set a new personal best in the decathlon, totaling 7,582 points to finish third overall and earn First-Team All-American honors for the second year in a row. He took third overall in both the 110m hurdles and the discus while finishing fourth in the pole vault.
 
The Rambelles collected two All-American honors in the heptathlon as Maricia Spence finished fourth overall to earn First-Team while Kylie Frush earned Second-Team with a 12th-place finish. Spence totaled 5,427 points, finishing fourth in the javelin and the 800m to end the day while Frush earned 4,815 points.
 
On the track, Solomon Odonkor advanced to the finals in the 200m after running the sixth best time at 20.43, giving him a new season-best mark.
 
The men's 4x400m relay team of Taylor Briggs, Adrian Nethersole, Tristan Guerrero, and Rami Balti qualified for the finals after running a time of 3:06.75 which was the seventh fastest time in the prelims.
 
Also qualifying for the finals was Antonio Blair who finished second in his heat with the fifth fastest time in the 800m as he crossed the finish line at 1:49.22.

In the women's discus, Tiamara Hill-Johnson finished 14th overall with a mark of 46.52m (152-7) and Kamryn Williams took 21st at 42.91m (140-9).

Josh Body finished 13th overall in the men's triple jump, earning a mark of 15.50m (50-10.25), while Maricia Spence was 20th in the 100m hurdles at 14.71.
 
The championships continue tomorrow with the final day beginning at 11 a.m., with the women's pole vault.
