SAN ANGELO, Texas – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association announced its 2023 Division II South Central All Region Team, naming Angelo State baseball's
Kade Bragg as the Region Pitcher of the Year.
Bragg, a junior communications major from Ennis, Texas, led the Rams on the mound this season with a Division II best 1.21 ERA. He holds a 12-1 overall record this season which is tied for the most wins in DII, and is fourth in hits allowed per nine innings at 5.29.
Joining Bragg as a First-Team All-Region selection was outfield
Jacob Guerrero while
Tripp Clark and
Braxton Pearson were named Second-Team All-Region.
The Rams host the South Central Regional as the top-seed which begins on Thursday, May 18 at Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium.
