Kingsville, Texas – The Angelo State volleyball team snapped their two-match losing streak on Friday afternoon against St. Mary's, sweeping the Rattlers in a matchup of two teams that dropped their opener at the LSC Crossover yesterday.
For the match, the Rambelles nearly doubled the kills of the Rattlers (53 to 30) while hitting .315 to the Rattlers' .173.
Hannah Kinnison led all players with 16 kills; the senior committed only a single error, recording a .517 attack percentage for the match.
Evelyn Torres had 11 kills and
Madi Parrish had ten kills, while
Elsa Lamphere added in seven and
Hannah Spencer had six kills, which marks a new career-high for Spencer.
Parrish also had ten digs, recording the first double-double of her collegiate career.
Laney Dale led all players with 21 assists, recording her third double-double of the season with 12 digs;
Kayla Baer had a season-high 17 assists, and libero
Caleigh Enax added ten assists to go along with ten digs for her second double-double of the season.
Baer, Parrish, and Spencer each had two service aces apiece as the Belles recorded eight aces to the Rattlers' five.
The win is their sixth sweep of the season and their first sweep of St. Mary's since 2019.
The Belles improve to 9-2 on the season and close their weekend in South Texas tomorrow, facing UAFS at 12 p.m.
