LUBBOCK, Texas - On an afternoon that saw the Rambelles shoot just 15 percent from three-point range, the Angelo State women's basketball team lost their first contest in six games to Lubbock Christian 67-54 at the Rip Griffin Center Saturday afternoon.

The Rambelles fall to 12-5 on the season and are now 6-2 in Lone Star Conference play. The Lady Chaps are now 11-3 overall and 6-1 in conference action.

40 MINUTE RUNDOWN
- The teams battled back and forth to start the game in a slow-developing first quarter, tied 5-5 at the 4:49 mark.
- Â Sawyer Lloyd would score the last points of the quarter for the Rambelles, giving them seven points down 7-13 going into the second quarter of action.
- The Lady Chaps would go on an 8-3 run lasting the first five minutes of action, extending its lead out to 14, 24-10.
- Briley Merket would get a layup at the end quarter to go down 12, 30-18 going into halftime.
- To begin the second half, it was a basket for a basket until a steal by Lloyd and a Layup by Madeline Stephens made the score 37-31 in favor of the Lady Chaps.
- Back-to-back threes from Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant would bring the game even, 39-39 at the 2:30 mark.
