SAN ANGELO, Texas – After a week off, the Angelo State University cross country program will travel to Windcrest, Texas to compete in the Our Lady of the Lake (OLLU) Cross- Country Invite on Saturday, Oct. 12 to close out the 2024 regular season.
RACE INFORMATION
Both races will take place at Windcrest Gold Course, where the women will run in the 6K at 8 a.m. CT with the men following in the 8K scheduled to begin at 8:45 a.m. CT.
LAST TIME OUT
The Rambelles tallied 69 points on the way to a third-place team finish at the NMJC Invitational II two weeks ago.
Mary Brown led the team as she crossed the finish line in 7
th place individually with a time of 19:44.5 as
Allison Vaughn earned an 8
th place finish with her time of 20:04.4.
Chasity Benson and
Emily Mila's efforts earned them spots within the top 20.
On the men's side, the Rams finished in fourth place as
Jack Collins finished atop the team for the second event in a row as his time of 26:42.3 earned him 17
th place individually.
Austin Souther,
Alex Hauck and
Kevin Martinez rounded out the runners who finished within the top 30.
THE FIELD
The meet will feature 27 total teams across both races. Lone Star Conference opponents Sul Ross State and Texas A&M International will have teams running in both events while Midwestern State will only compete in the women's 6K.
