LUBBOCK, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams wrapped up the Jarvis Scott as the sixth-ranked Belles set a new NCAA Division II indoor record in the 4x400-meter relay on Saturday at the Sports Performance Center.
The relay team of
Zykia McDaniel,
Fatoumata Kabo,
Jacent Nyamahunge and
Shadae Findley clocked a time of 3:36.14 to set the new DII record.
Allison Vaughn earned a provisional mark in the triple jump, taking 12
th overall with a jump of 11.76m (38'-7") while Nyamahunge finished second in the finals of the 200-meter dash with a provisional time of 23.83 followed by Kabo in 12
th at 24.37.
Anna Eischen ran a time of 11:03.47 in the 3,000-meter run to take 13
th while
Mary Brown finished 17
th at 11:09.25.
On the men's side, the 4x400-meter relay team of
Prince Frimpong,
Max Wassmer,
Bossman Pinkrah and
Tristan Guerrero earned a provisional time, taking eighth overall at 3:11.78.
Josh Body finished fifth overall in the triple jump, clearing a distance of 15.31m (50'-2.75") which earned a provisional.
Also earning a provisional mark was
Jacobee Jones who finished second overall in the men's pole vault, clearing a height of 5.26m (17'-3") which was his best so far this season.
The Rams and Rambelles will prepare for the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships which begin on Friday, Feb. 23 in Norman, Okla.
