Rambelles Fall to WT 68-55

San Angelo, Texas -  The Angelo State women's basketball team kept things close, but only scoring six points compared to the 19 of West Texas A&M in the third quarter propelled the Lady Buffs to an 83-66 victory over the Rambelles inside Junell Center - Stephens on Saturday afternoon.
 
40 MINUTE RUNDOWN

  • The Rambelles opened the game on a 13-2 run lasting 6:40 
  • Lloyd would score six points, Madeline Stephens would score four, and Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant would score five points in the quarter to give the Rambelles an 18-10 lead going into the second quarter.
  • The Lady Buffs would bring the deficit within two, behind Karle Motschenbacher's six points in the first four minutes of action.
  • The Lady Buffs would take the lead for the first time in the game after a trey from Kyla Kane, giving the Lady Buffs a 27-26 lead.
  • The Rambelles would end the second quarter down 31-28 after Lady Buffs Motschenbacher scored seven points in the quarter.
  • A layup from Jayla Burgess from the Lady Buffs would get the scoring started in the second half
  • The Lady Buffs defense would not allow a bucket until the 6:19 marker, extending its lead to nine, 39-30.
