SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams are set for the 2024 Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships beginning on Friday, Feb. 24 at the John Jacobs Track & Field Complex in Norman, Okla.

• Heading into the championship meet, the Rams and Belles hold the time mark in eight events:
  • Pentathlon – Maricia Spence (4,112)
  • Triple Jump – Abby Zamzow (12.07m | 39'-7.25")
  • Long Jump – Maricia Spence (6.01m | 19'-8.75")
  • 4x400-meter Relay (3:36.58)
  • 60-meter Hurdles – Maricia Spence (8.45)
  • 200-meter Dash – Jacent Nyamahunge (23.90)
  • Triple Jump – Josh Body (15.31m | 50'-2.75")
  • Weight Throw – Cole Paxton (17.84m | 58'-6.5")
• The Rams and Belles also rank third or better in 19 total events.
• The Rambelles' 4x400-meter relay team of Zykia McDaniel, Nyamahunge, Shadae Findley, and Fatoumata Kabo set a new NCAA record at the Jarvis Scott Open, running a time of 3:36.58.

 
The two-day meet begins on Friday with the multis starting at 10:30 a.m., followed by field events at 3 p.m. and track events at 4:30 p.m.
