SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams begin the outdoor season this weekend as the Rams and Rambelles compete at the Trinity Invitational beginning on Friday.

• The Rams and Rambelles finished second overall at the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships last week, claiming seven individual titles.
• ASU qualified 15 athletes for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships which take place on Mar. 8-9, in Pitssburg, Kan.
• The Belles will send 18 athletes this weekend while the Rams will send 23 to the first outdoor meet of the season.
• At last year's Trinity Invitational, the Rams and Belles won nine events including sweeping the top three marks in the women's high jump.

Friday begins with the hammer throw at 3 p.m., followed by the long jump and high jump while the running events feature the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 6 p.m. and the 10,000-meter run. Saturday starts at 10 a.m. with the javelin while the running events begin at 1 p.m.
