Odessa, Texas – The Angelo State men's basketball team ended their regular season on a high note on Thursday evening inside the Falcon Dome as they defeated UT Permian Basin, 68-67.
Down 67-64 with 1:15 left to play in the game,

Trey Farrer underneath the basket for the finish to cut the deficit to a single point.
On the defensive end the next possession, the Rams held the Falcons to a missed shot before forcing a shot clock violation.
On the other end,
Willie Guy sunk a long two-pointer in the right corner with six seconds left in the game to give the Rams the lead, and ultimately, the win.
The Rams started the game off hot, jumping out to a 23-9 lead in the game's first 11 minutes. After the hot start, the Falcons clawed their way back into the game, taking their first lead of the game with 16 minutes left in the game, a lead they held until Guy's go-ahead bucket in the game's final moments.
On the day, the Rams shot 42.6 percent from the field and 42.1 percent from three-point range; defensively, they held the Falcons to 37.1 percent from the field and 25 percent from three. The Rams also took care of the ball, only committing six turnovers.
Godwin led all players with 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting from the field and 4-for-7 from three. Godwin also had five rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Keyshawn Embery-Simpson, Guy, and
Kendrick Delahoussaye each scored ten points.
Delahoussaye's ten points came in 17 minutes off the bench as the junior point guard made a pair of threes.
Shemar Smith had six points and led the Rams with ten rebounds.
The Rams end the regular season with a 19-9 record and 14-8 record in LSC play. They will be the fifth seed in next week's LSC Tournament, set to tip off next Thursday.
