SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams will stay in West Texas this weekend as the Rams and sixth-ranked Rambelles compete at the Jarvis Scott Open hosted by Texas Tech.

- The Rams and Rambelles have collected 25 provisional marks so far this season with 17 on the women's side and eight on the men's side.
- Maricia Spence has tallied four top 10 marks in all of Division II, ranking third in the pentathlon (4,112), seventh in the 60-meter hurdles (8.52), eighth in the long jump (6.01m | 19'-8.75"), and is a part of the 4x400-meter relay team that ranks third with a time of 3:43.31. The other members of the relay team include Zykia McDaniel, Fatoumata Kabo, and Shadae Findley.
- Jacent Nyamahunge was named the Lone Star Conference women's track athlete of the week, ranking sixth in the country in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.11 which leads the conference.
- Findley and Kabo are fifth and sixth in Division II respectively in the 400-meter dash with times of 54.46 and 54.51.
- Ranking fourth in Division II in the men's pole vault is Jacobee Jones at a height of 5.25m (17'-2.75").
- Josh Body leads the conference in the men's triple jump at 15.13m (49'-7.75").
- The Rams also lead the LSC in the weight throw with Cole Paxton at 14.36m (47'-1.5") and in the 4x400-meter relay with the team of Prince Frimpong, Max Wassmer, Bossman Pinkrah, and Tristan Guerrero holding a time of 3:13.73.
Day one of the two-day meet begins on Friday with field events starting at 3 p.m., and the track events beginning at 3:55 p.m.
