San Angelo, Texas - After never trailing in the ball game, the Angelo State women's basketball team downed Lubbock Christian 61-42 inside the Junell Center - Stephens Arena Thursday evening.

The Rambelles improve to 17-7 on the season and are now 11- 4 in Lone Star Conference play. LCU falls to 16-6 with the loss and sits 11-4 in conference play.

- The Belles went on a 6-0 run to open the game.
- Tayjanna McGhee-Pleasant scored six points down the stretch to give her six after the first quarter, with the Rambelles ahead 13 - seven going into the second quarter.
- The Rambelles started the second quarter scoring eight points, with Sawyer Lloyd and Stephens knocking down two threes, giving them a 21-7 lead at the 7:10 marker in the second quarter.
- Lubbock Christian scored eight unanswered to bring the Rambelles lead to 21-15 with 4:02 remaining in the second quarter.
