ASU Track & Field Tallies Eight Provisionals at Masked Rider Open

LUBBOCK, Texas – In a field full of Power 5 competitors, the Angelo State track & field teams collected eight provisional marks and several event winners at Texas Tech's Masked Rider Open in the Sports Performance Center.
 
Shadae Findley finished with the top time in the women's 400-meter dash, running a provisional time of 24.51. Also earning a provisional was Zykia McDaniel who ran 55.16 to finish third in the event.
 
Taking second overall in the 400-meter hurdles was Fatoumata Kabo who earned a provisional with a time of 1:01.84.
 
In the 4x100-meter relay, Kabo, McDaniel, Maricia Spence, and Alliyah Harrison combined for a provisional time of 45.67 to take second overall.
 
Mary Brown finished sixth overall in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:53.17 while Spence also finished sixth in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.22.
 
Setting a new personal best in the long jump was Abby Zamzow who finished second overall with a provisional jump of 6.02m (19-9).
 
Kamryn Williams finished first overall in section B of the women's discus with a throw of 43.25 (141-11) while Landri Sagebiel took fourth at 40.54 (133-0).
 
On the men's side, Solomon Odonkor collected two provisional marks, taking second overall in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.22 while taking fourth in the 200-meter dash at 20.73.
 
Also earning a provisional mark was Tristan Guerrero who finished seventh in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.53.
 
The Rams finished second overall in the 4x400-meter relay as Max Wassmer, Prince Frimpong, Brad Humphreys, and Kyle Lumpkins recorded a time of 3:16.93. ASU also finished fourth in the 4x100-meter relay with David Morgan, Odonkor, Dorian Leda, and Romel Plummer running 40.96.
 
Luis Alvarado took third overall in the javelin, throwing a mark of 54.31 (178-2) while Thombias Moy (13.67m | 44-10.25) finished fourth in the triple jump and Pacer Hill (4.69m | 15-4.5) finished fourth in the pole vault.
 
The Rams and Rambelles will prepare for the Texas Relays which are slated for Wednesday, March 27 through Saturday, March 30.
