No.15 Rambelles Defeat St. Mary's 4-3 for the First Time Since 2021

San Angelo, Texas - The No.15 Rambelles defeated St. Mary's 4-3 for the first time since 2021 after a three-set thriller by Christine Jevicky to clinch the match.
 
With the Victory, the Rambelles move to 15-2 overall and 5-1 in conference action. The Rattlers fall to 9-6 overall and 3-2 in conference. 
 
The No. 23 pairing of Avery Durham and Eva Schwartz got things going on the right foot for the Rambelles as they won the first doubles match on court 1 6-0 over the No.13 pairing of Selina Wu and Karen Kondo. 
 
Ayda Guler and Letizia Corsini would clinch the doubles point at No.2 doubles, winning 6-3, ending their two-match skid, and moving their doubles record to 14-2 overall and giving the Blue and Gold a 1-0 advantage.
 
Mieke Van Deventer and Alexandra Vishnevskaya would continue their strong form as pairing-winning 6-3 at No. 3 doubles.
 
Letizia Corsini would continue her dominance in singles play this season, defeating Paula Garrote in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 to move to 15-0 overall and give the Rambelles a 2-0 lead. 
 
Janel Ospanova would get the best of Avery Durham on line five, winning in straight sets 6-1, 6-3, moving the score to 2-1 in favor of the Rambelles.
 
Alessia Terlizzii would get the best of the standout freshman Jessica Li, 6-4, 6-0, at line three, tying the match at 2-2.
 
Stela Sifuentes would get the best of Alexandra Vishnevskaya 0-6, 6-1, 6-0 to give the Rattlers a 3-2 lead with two matches left to be played.
 
On line two, Eva Schwartz would come out on top after a three-set battle, defeating the No. 10th-ranked player in the nation 6-0, 3-6, 6-1 to tie the match 3-3 
 
With the victory hanging in the balance between Christine Jevicky and Karen Kondo, Christine Jevicky would come out victorious in a three-set thriller, winning 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 to clinch the match for the Rambelles and defeating St. Mary's for the first time since 2021.
 
The Rambelles return to action next weekend when they host the Mustangs of Western New Mexico, with first serve scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
