SAN ANGELO, Texas – Angelo State track & field's
Allison Vaughn was selected as the Lone Star Conference Field Athlete of the Year, the conference announced Monday.
Vaughn, a junior nursing major from Christoval, Texas, was an NCAA Division II First-Team All-American this season, taking eighth overall in the triple jump with a mark of 2.60m (41-1.25).
During the LSC Outdoor Championships, Vaughn was the high-point athlete for the Belles, collecting 21 points overall. She finished second in the triple jump, third in the heptathlon, and third in the 400-meter hurdles. She also earned First-Team All-Conference for the outdoor season.
