Denton, Texas – The Angelo State volleyball team had its five-match winning streak snapped on Friday evening against Texas Woman's inside Kitty Magee Arena, with the Pioneers walking away with a 25-20, 25-9, 28-26 victory.
The Belles' offense struggled to get anything going, hitting .084 for the match, while the Pioneers recorded 10 blocks to the Belles' three.
Madi Parrish and
Gabi Ashcraft recorded double-doubles for the Belles. Parrish had ten kills and ten digs, and Ashcraft assisted 12 times to go along with a team-high 12 digs.
Demi Carter had six kills while
Julia Hopkins and
Raelee Allen had five each.
Madison Scrivner led the Belles with 14 assists, and
Ireland Ferguson added ten digs.
The Belles are now 13-7 on the season and 7-2 in LSC play. They close out their weekend tomorrow against DBU in Dallas.
