DALLAS – The Angelo State volleyball team, faced with a 2-1 set deficit against DBU on Saturday afternoon inside the Burg Center, fought back to complete the five-set win over the Lady Patriots, doing so by a 25-19, 16-25, 22-25, 25-14, 17-15 scoreline.
The Belles hit .418 in the final two sets, converting 28 kills and only making five errors.
The Belles recorded 12 service aces, their most in conference play this season.
Demi Carter tied her career-high with 16 kills, doing so on a .375 attack percentage.
Madi Parrish and
Raelee Allen had 15 kills each. Parrish hit .270 and set a new career high with five aces. Allen hit .500, only making two errors as she set a personal best in kills.
Cate Boldrick and
Taryn Barnes added six kills each, as Boldrick led the Belles with four blocks. Barnes set a new career-high with 11 digs.
Gabi Ashcraft recorded her second consecutive double-double, assisting 29 times and digging ten DBU attacks. The 29 assists tied a season-high for the sophomore setter.
Madison Scrivner assisted 23 times and had eight digs, while
Ireland Ferguson had nine digs and eight assists.
The Belles are 14-7 on the season and 8-2 in LSC play. The Belles face a quick turnaround, facing Western New Mexico on Tuesday in Silver City.
