Silver City, N.M. – Angelo State volleyball junior outside hitter 
Madi Parrish etched herself in the program's record books on Tuesday evening, passing the 1,000-kill mark in her illustrious career as the Belles leave Silver City with a 25-17, 25-16, 25-20 win over Western New Mexico.
Parrish becomes the 16
th player in program history to pass the century mark in kills and the first to do so since Brianna Sotello did so in the 2016 season.
Parrish, who was 11 kills shy of the milestone, finished the night with 16 kills, with seven coming in the opening frame.
The Saginaw native hit .394 for the match and recorded eight digs.
Demi Carter added ten kills and hit .500; as a team, the Belles hit .333, their best mark in a conference match this season and their best since the season's opening weekend.
Cate Boldrick had eight kills and hit .583, while 
Julia Hopkins had six kills on a .333 attack percentage.
Gabi Ashcraft assisted 23 times while 
Madison Scrivner recorded 15 helpers off the bench.
Krizia Perez led all players with 15 digs, and 
Ireland Ferguson contributed ten digs.
The Belles improve to 15-7 on the season and 9-2 in conference play. The Belles return home this weekend to host Eastern New Mexico and No. 14 West Texas A&M.
