Lawton, Okla. – The Angelo State volleyball team bounced back from their five-set loss last night against Oklahoma Christian by claiming a four-set win over Cameron this afternoon inside the Aggie Gym, defeating the Aggies 25-17, 25-12, 22-25, 25-12.
The Belles' defense stifled the Aggies, holding them to a .014 attack percentage. The Belles stayed consistent offensively, hitting .248 after turning in a .249 percentage last night.
Ireland Ferguson led the defensive effort with 22 digs and notched the third double-double of her senior season with 10 assists.
Fellow senior
Cate Boldrick led the defensive effort at the net with five blocks. Boldrick had 12 kills at a .474 clip, a new season-best performance for the Austin product.
Madi Parrish tallied her second double-double in as many games with 15 kills and 11 digs.
Raelee Allen and
Julia Hopkins each had nine kills; Allen added six digs, and Hopkins had four blocks.
Alli Kirkpatrick had seven kills and
Sydney Thornton had six, with the duo committing one error apiece.
Madison Scrivner joined Parrish and Ferguson with a double-double of her own, assisting 26 times and digging 12 balls.
Gabi Ashcraft assisted ten times, and
Krizia Perez had ten digs, both doing so off the bench.
The Belles wrap up the weekend with a 9-6 record and a 3-1 mark in LSC play. They are on the road on Tuesday to take on Sul Ross State.
