SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State volleyball team won its fourth consecutive Lone Star Conference Tournament match this evening with a 25-20, 25-23, 25-14 sweep of Texas A&M-Kingsville on Thursday evening inside the Junell Center/Stephens Arena.
The Belles' defense stifled the Javelinas' high-powered offense, holding the Hogs to a season-low .039 attack percentage.
Julia Hopkins led the Belles with ten kills while adding three blocks and five digs.
Madi Parrish had nine kills and seven digs, and
Demi Carter added five kills, a pair of blocks, and a pair of digs.
Cate Boldrick and
Hannah Spencer turned in great performances in the middle. Boldrick had four kills and led the Belles with five blocks as they out-blocked the Javelinas 8-2.
Hannah Spencer converted all three of her swings into kills while also blocking three Hogs' attacks.
Gabi Ashcraft led the Belles with 15 assists, while fellow setter
Madison Scrivner tallied a double-double with 11 assists and 11 digs.

Ireland Ferguson all players with a match-high 18 digs.
The Belles improve to 22-7 on the season. They will face fifth-seed UT Tyler in the LSC Semifinals tomorrow evening at 6:30 p.m.
