SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State Track and Field team begins its season this weekend in Pittsburg, Kansas, competing at the Boo Rogers Combined Events and the Crimson & Gold Invitational, hosted by Pittsburg State.
Overall, the Rams and Rambelles are sending 41 athletes to compete in their lone meet before the winter break.
The women's side features reigning LSC Field Athlete of the Year
Kylie Frush, who will be competing in the pentathlon, the triple jump, and running as a part of the 4x400m relay.
All-American thrower
Federica Dozio will be competing in the shot put, and the Rams feature all four legs of last season's 4x400m relay team that claimed seventh at outdoor nationals back in May with
Rami Balti,
Adrian Nethersole,
Tristan Guerrero, and
Taylor Briggs.
The multis will compete on Friday, starting at 12:30. Saturday's schedule kicks off at 11:30 a.m. on the track, while field events will begin at noon.
