RV Rams Drop Road Contest to No. 4 Chaps

Lubbock, Texas – The Angelo State men's basketball team dropped its second road conference game in succession, falling to the nation's fourth-ranked team, Lubbock Christian, in a tightly-contested game that saw LCU walk away with the 68-62 over the Rams on Saturday afternoon inside the Rip Griffin Center.

The Rams only shot 41 percent from the field and 25 percent from three, while the Chaps managed 43.6 percent from the field and 35 percent from deep. The Chaps also controlled the boards, winning the rebounding battle 41-31.

Four Rams scored in double figures, led by Jaqai Murray's 17 points.

Jordan Crawford scored a season-high 11 points, while Quadir Pettaway and Zyon Little chipped in ten points apiece on identical 4-for-9 shooting from the field.

Little grabbed nine rebounds, one shy of a double-double, while also leading the team with two steals.

Jesaiah McWright added eight points, and Kailon Nicholls had six points.

In 15 minutes off the bench, Jhordan Ryan blocked three shots.

The Rams are 8-3 on the season and 0-2 in LSC play. They are back in action on their home court on December 15th when they host Texas A&M International in conference action.
