ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Angelo State track and field teams wrapped up the 2025 Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships on Saturday as the Rams and Rambelles both finished third overall, collecting five individual titles.
The Belles finished with 98.5 team points overall while the Rams collected 101 team points.
The Rams picked up another title to begin the final day of the meet as
Mark Burdin won the heptathlon with a score of 5,247 points. He took first overall in the final three events, winning the 60-meter hurdles, the pole vault, and the 1,000-meter run.
Solomon Odonkor won the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 20.82 while
Antonio Blair took third overall with a time of 1:53.34.
Taking second overall in the men's triple jump was
Josh Body who earned a mark of 15.42m (50-7.25).
The men's 4x400-meter relay team of
Taylor Briggs,
Adrian Nethersole, Blair, and
Rami Balti finished third overall, combining for a time of 3:10.74.
On the women's side,
Jacent Nyamahunge podiumed twice, winning the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.72 while taking second overall in the 60-meter dash at 7.53.
Fedra Florentin took silver in the women's shot put, throwing a mark of 13.95m (45-9.25).
ASU will begin the outdoor season at home as they take on Texas A&M – Kingsville in the Blue & Gold Battle at home on Mar. 7 before concluding the indoor season at the NCAA Division II National Championships beginning on Mar. 13.
