SAN ANGELO, Texas - The Angelo State women's basketball team defeated the University of Texas Permian Basin, 68-65, Thursday evening inside of the Junell Center - Stephens Arena.

The Rambelles end the regular season 17-11 overall and 13-9 in Lone Star Conference action.Â

- Madi Lumsden scored the first points of the contest for the Rambelles as she would drain a three from the corner.Â
- The Belles would hit back-to-back threes by Majik Esquivel and Lumsden giving the Belles an 11-8 lead with 7:09 remaining in the quarter.Â
- The Falcons hit back-to-back threes to take the lead after Morgan Helgesen and Makayla Bingley gave the Falcons an 18-13 lead with 4:22 remaining in the quarter.Â
- The Falcons scored the last four points of the first quarter, giving them a 30-24 lead going into the second quarter of action.Â

- The freshman Taylor Grona drilled the dagger three with 1:51 remaining to give the Belles the 66-63 lead.Â
- The Belles were able to fend off the Falcons in the final minute to secure the 68-65 victory ending their six-game skid.Â
