#11 Rams, Rambelles Begin NCAA Indoor Championships on Thursday

INDIANAPOLIS – The Angelo State track & field teams begin the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships on Thursday at the Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis.
 
ASU will have nine athletes compete at the indoor championships with Jacent Nyamahunge representing the Rambelles while the 11th-ranked Rams traveled eight athletes.

Last Time Out:
The Rams and Rambelles opened the outdoor season at home, sweeping Texas A&M – Kingsville in the Blue & Gold Battle. The women's team set two program records at the meet as Marie Schuler won the hammer throw with a toss of 60.01m (196-10) while Kylyie Paden won the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.96m (12-11.75).
 
Quick Notes:
- ASU has qualified nine or more athletes to the indoor championships in each of the last three seasons.
- The Rams and Belles rank in the top 12 of seven events heading into the final indoor meet of the season.
- Oleg Ananev is the highest ranked athlete for ASU, holding the second best mark in the pole vault in Division II.
-The Rams moved up three spots in the latest USTFCCCA rankings, holding the No. 11 spot heading into nationals.
