INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Angelo State track and field teams will send nine athletes to the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships which are set to begin on Thursday, March 13 at the Fall Creek Pavilion in Indianapolis.
Representing the Rambelles will be
Jacent Nyamahunge who qualified in the 200-meter dash, running a time of 23.79 at the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships. She ranks seventh overall in Division II in the event.
The 14
th-ranked Rams qualified eight athletes to nationals, including pole vaulter
Oleg Ananyev who ranks second overall in the country with a mark of 5.44m (17-10.25).
Solomon Odonkor will compete in the 200-meter dash, ranking sixth in the country with a time of 20.89 while
Josh Body ranks seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 15.42m (50-7.25).
Mark Burdin will compete in the heptathlon, holding a score of 5,247 points which ranks 11
th in Division II.
The Rams 4x400-meter relay team of
Taylor Briggs,
Adrian Nethersole,
Antonio Blair, and
Rami Balti qualified with a time of 3:11.18 which ranks 12
th overall. Balti will also compete in the 400-meter dash, holding the 10
th fastest time in DII at 47.00.
The national meet begins on March 13 with the heptathlon at 10 a.m.
