SAN ANGELO - The Angelo State softball team is on the road to close out competition against the East Division, traveling south to take on St. Mary's in San Antonio on Friday at 4 p.m. before facing St. Edward's on Sunday at noon in Austin.

LAST TIME OUT
The Rambelles went 4-0 this past weekend, claiming sweeps over Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International, outscoring the Javelinas and Dustdevils 21-3 over the four games. Tatiana Trotter led the Rambelles with a .462 batting average this week, while Laylonna Applin went 6-for-14 from the plate. The doubleheaders saw the Rambelles shut out their opponents in game one each day - their fifth game one shutout this season.

RAMBELLES RANKED NO. 4
The Rambelles are ranked fourth in the latest version of the NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, their second-straight week occupying the fourth spot. The Rambelles are in the nation's top ten for the first time since the 2022 season and are in the top five for the first time since the beginning of the 2021 season.

SHUT IT DOWN
The Rambelles have recorded eight shutouts this season, and they are the only team in Division II to do so. They are on pace to beat their 13 shutouts from last season, having done so in 55 games. The Rambelles' pitching staff has a 1.43 team ERA and an opponent batting average of .209.

FLOYD RECORDS
Senior pitcher Cheyenne Floyd continues to put her name all over the career record book at Angelo State. The senior is second in program history in career ERA (1.92) and has the best mark in opponent batting average (.199). Her 347 strikeouts for the Blue and Gold is fifth all-time; she sits 12 back of tying Chelsea Nelson for fourth all-time in program history. Her seven shutouts are tied for ninth in program history.

SCOTT CLOSES IN ON 1K CAREER WINS
Head coach Travis Scott is closing in on 1,000 career wins. He currently sits on 991 career wins. He is seventh among all Division II coaches in wins and 15th in winning percentage. He is 23rd among all coaches across all three divisions in wins. He won his first 101 games at Southeastern Oklahoma before winning the next 890 wins at the helm of the Rambelles softball program.

• Angelo State is 19-3 on the season and 10-2 in conference play; the Rambelles are 2-2 in true road games this season.
• The Rambelles hit .284 as a team with a .446 slugging and a .399 on-base percentage. The Rambelles average 5.1 runs per game.

• The Rambelles' pitching staff has a 1.43 ERA and 111 strikeouts in 141.2 innings. They have only allowed 105 hits, and their opponent's batting average is .209.
• Cheyenne Floyd is 10-2 with a save and a 1.01 ERA; she has 66 strikeouts in 62.2 innings. Opponents are hitting .134 against Floyd this season. Floyd is tied for second in the country with ten wins this season, and she is one of four pitchers in Division II to throw four shutouts this season.
