SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Angelo State women's tennis team fell to St. Mary's 4-3 Saturday afternoon.
 
The Belles move to 13-7 with the loss and 2-6 in Lone Star Conference action.
 
The pairing of Jessica Li and Ivet Stancheva got things started for the Rambelles as they defeated Paula Garrote and Alessia Terlizzi 6-3 to give the Belles the advantage in doubles play. The No. 7 ranked pairing of Avery Durham and Eva Schwartz defeated Janel Ospanova and Stela Sifuentes 6-4 to claim the doubles point for the Rambelles. Margaux Rene and Benedetta Raggiotti would fall to Gia Posito and Selina 6-4 to go into singles play with the momentum.
 
Eva Schwartz defeated Janel Ospanova 6-4, 6-3 to give the Rambelles a 2-0 lead to start things off for the Rambelles in singles play. 
 
Paula Garrote defeated Avery Durham 6-2, 6-4 to get the Rattlers on board, making the score 2-1.
 
Alessia Terlizzi defeated Jessica Li 6-2, 7-5 to tie the match at 2-2 with three matches remaining.
 
The No. 43 ranked singles player Margaux Rene defeated the No. 38 ranked singles player Selina Wu 6-3, 1-6, 6-2 in three-set thriller to give the Rambelles a 3-2 advantage.
 
Stela Sifuentes tied the match after defeating Benedetta Raggiotti 6-2, 7-6(7-2), 6-2.
 
With the match tied 3-3 it came down to Ivet Stancheva and Gia Posito. Positio would get the best of Stancheva defeating her 5-7, 6-0, 6-3 to give the 4-3 victory to the Rattlers.
