RICHARDSON, Texas – With exactly two weeks until the season opener, the Lone Star Conference released its 2025 Women's Cross Country Preseason Poll on Friday morning. Angelo State was picked to finish 9th, matching last season's final standing, with 240 points.
West Texas A&M was selected to repeat as champions, earning all 30 of the possible 32 first-place votes and 510 total points. Rounding out the top five are DBU (who received two first place votes), Midwestern State, Oklahoma Christian and St. Edward's.
Angelo State is set to open the season on Friday, Sept. 12, as the Rams and Rambelles head to Lubbock for the Texas Tech Invite.
