Lubbock, Texas – The Angelo State track and field teams wrapped up their first day of competition in 2026 on Friday at the Corky Classic hosted by Texas Tech.
Bautista Diamante ran a 6.78 in the 60m dash, improving by three-hundredths of a second from his provisional time set at the Crimson and Gold Meet last month. That time ties for the second-fastest in the LSC this season.
Francis Patanpatan earned a provisional mark in the 400m dash with a time of 47.89 seconds. The Rams currently hold the top three times in the conference in the 400m dash.
On the women's side,
Marie Schuler finished eighth in the weight throw and second among DII throwers with a throw of 16.55m (54'-3.75").
The Rambelles and Rams finish their weekend tomorrow morning at the Corky Classic.
