Lawton, Okla. – The Angelo State men's basketball team dropped its first road game of the 2026 calendar year on Thursday evening, falling to Cameron 76-71 inside Aggie Gym.
The hosts scored the final 13 points in the game over the final 1:54 of the contest to overturn the Rams' eight-point lead.
The Rams shot 45.9 percent from the field and 35 percent from three.
Kailon Nicholls led the Rams with 20 points while recording three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Davon Scott, playing his first collegiate game in his home state of Oklahoma, scored 15 points, shooting 3-for-5 from three.
Jaqai Murray and
Ashraf Barsham scored ten points each. Barsham led the Rams with nine rebounds, one shy of recording his first double-double at Angelo State.
Zyon Little scored five points and grabbed eight rebounds, and
Jhordan Ryan contributed four points and seven rebounds. The Rams controlled the boards, out-rebounding the Aggies 36-25.
The Rams are 11-6 overall and 2-4 in LSC play. They are back in action on Saturday to take on Oklahoma Christian, who are coming off a two-point loss to UT Permian Basin this evening.
