SAN ANTONIO – The Angelo State women's golf team is in sixth place in the field following the first day of competition at the Rattler Invitational at the Dominion Country Club, shooting a team score of 30-over.
The action was delayed an hour in the morning due to frosty conditions on the course – as a result, the teams couldn't complete the full 36 holes prescribed for today.
Beth Norton paced the Rambelles in round one with a 74 (+2), followed by
Mia Clarke's 76 (+4) and
Christine Huse's 77 (+5).
Kelsey Kline followed closely behind with a 78 (+6).
Caitlin Vanderkruk paced the team in round two before the action ended, shooting one under for the round with one hole remaining.
Currently, Vanderkruk, Huse, and Clarke are all tied for 23
rd place, carding an eight-over par.
Norton sits in 30
th place, one stroke behind her teammates.
The Rambelles will wrap up round two tomorrow morning before launching straight into their final 18 holes of play in the Alamo City.
