PORTALES, N.M. – The Angelo State University women's basketball team closed the 2025-26 regular season Saturday afternoon with a 64-50 loss to Eastern New Mexico University at the Steve Loy Family Foundation Arena.
With the loss, the Rambelles dropped their second straight game and finished the regular season 15-11 overall and 13-7 in Lone Star Conference play.
Angelo State struggled offensively, shooting 24.6 percent from the field, including 12.5 percent from 3-point range, and 71.4 percent from the free-throw line. The Belles forced 19 turnovers while committing 11 but were outrebounded 53-37.
Majik Esquivel led ASU with 15 points, going 2-for-8 from beyond the arc.
Taylor Grona added 10 points and pulled down a team-high six rebounds.
Landry Morrow scored nine points, while
Tristin Keller finished with eight.
Stevi Lockhart contributed four points, and
Kenna Wood and
Dragana Scepanovic added two apiece to round out the scoring.
Despite the loss, Angelo State's conference record secured a berth in the Lone Star Conference Tournament. The Rambelles will await announcement of their quarterfinal matchup.
