Spicewood, Texas – The Angelo State golf teams finished competition at the Jack Brown Invitational, where they finished in a tie for second place after 36 holes of competition at Lakecliff Golf Club.
After shooting 20-over as a team, the Rambelles "A" team shaved off four strokes from yesterday's round. The Rambelles "B" team finished in seventh place, defeating a trio of Division II opponents.
English seniors
Mia Clarke and
Beth Norton finished as the top Rambelles on the leaderboard, finishing tied for 10
th at nine-over.
After each shooting a 77 (+6) yesterday, the duo shot a 74 (+3).
Christine Huse finished tied for 14
th at ten shots over par. The freshman dropped four strokes from Monday.
Johanna Ohrling finished tied for 18
th at 154 (+12);
Caitlin Vanderkruk wrapped up the "A" team's scoring by shooting a 78 for the round, mirroring her round one score.
Emma Cook paced the "B" team, tying teammate Vanderkruk at 14-over; Cook eradicated four strokes from her opening round.
Addison Barber finished two strokes behind her teammates (+16, 158) in 29
th, followed one stroke behind by
Kara Knight, who improved by five strokes.
Brinley Patterson (+19, 161) and
Kelsey Kline (+22, 164) wrap up the Rambelles' performances. Patterson dropped seven strokes from her opening round effort.
The Rambelles are back in action in three weeks' time at the Rattler Invitational, hosted by St. Mary's in San Antonio.
