SAN ANGELO, Texas – Every active player scored points as the Angelo State women's basketball team rolled past Western New Mexico 79-47 on Thursday night at the Junell Center-Stephens Arena.
The Rambelles won their fifth straight game and seventh in their last eight to improve to 10-9 overall and 8-5 in Lone Star Conference play.
Angelo State controlled the game on both ends, shooting 46.8% from the field, including 44.8% from 3-point range, and nearly 73% from the free-throw line. The Rambelles outrebounded Western New Mexico 45-32 and forced 21 turnovers, converting them into 26 points.
Taylor Grona led all scorers with 17 points and added seven assists and a block.
Majik Esquivel followed with 16 points, six rebounds, three assists and a team-high three steals.
Keniah Williams scored 10 points with three rebounds, a block and a steal.
Landry Morrow posted a team-high 11 rebounds to go with seven points, four assists, two steals and a block.

The Belles are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 7 when they host Sul Ross State at the Junell Center-Stephens Arena with the tipoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
