Plano, Texas - The Angelo State women's tennis team continued their hot start as they defeated Southern Arkansas, 5-2.
The Rambelles improved to 3-0 on the season.
The Rambelles would start off hot as
Margaux Rene and
Benedetta Raggiotti defeated Taylor Conway and Roksansas Kokocha to win the first doubles match.
Sasa Felixova and
Anastasiia Melnikova clinched the doubles point for the Rambelles against Isabella Lazzerini and Victoria Perez to give the Rambelles a 1-0 lead heading into singles play portion of the match.
Jade Bestagno defeated Victoria Perez 6-0, 6-2 to give the Rambelles their second point of the contest.
Danaiya Amangazhiyeva would defeat Roksana Kokocha 6-3, 6-1 to claim the third point of the contest.
Raggiotti would clinch the victory for the Rambelles as she defeated Isabella Lazzerini 6-2, 6-2.
Southern Arkansas would record their first point of the contest as Emilie Senepart defeated
Sasa Felixova 6-2, 6-4 to make the score 4-1 in favor of the Rambelles.
Anna Waché defeated Jolina Mass 4-6, 6-3, 10-7 in a three set thriller. It would give the Rambelles a 5-1 advantage.
Taylor Conway would get the best of
Anastasiia Melnikova as she would win 7-6 (9-7), 7-6(7-4) to give the Muleriders there second point of the contest.
The Rambelles would win the match 5-2 the exact same result as last year.
The Belles will return to action on Feb.14 as they take on Southwest Baptist.
