SAN ANGELO, Texas - The Angelo State Women's Tennis team pulled out a tough one against No. 24 Midwestern State as they defeated the Mustangs 4-3 Saturday afternoon. 
 
With the win, the Rambelles move to 16-0. 
 
Benedetta Raggiotti and Margaux Rene defeated Emilia Gyorgy and Selin Sepken 6-1 to open doubles play. Jasmine Crain and Camilia Garcia defeated Danaiya Amangazhiyeva and Vasilissa Kupriianova 6-4 to make the doubles point to the No. 3 doubles match. The Mustangs would get the best of the Rambelles as the pairing of Hattie Berened and Alessia Dolce from Midwestern State, as she defeated Sasa Felixova and Anna Waché 7-5 to give the advantage to the Mustangs heading into singles play. 
 
Angelo State would start off singles play strong, as Anna Waché defeated Hattie Berend 6-3, 6-2 to give the point to the Rambelles and tied the match at 1-1. 
 
Vasilissa Kupriianova would give the Rambelles the early advantage as she defeated Emilia Gyorgy 7-5, 6-0 to give the Rambelles a 2-1 lead. 
 
Selin Sepken tied the match 2-2 after defeating Marguax Rene 7-5, 6-2.
 
Camila Garcia would bring the Mustangs within one of clinching the match after defeating the true freshman Danaiya Amangazhiyeva 7-5, 6-3 to give the Mustangs a 3-2 lead. 
 
Benedetta Raggiotti would continue her dominance as she defeated Alessia Dolce 6-3, 7-5 to tie the match 3-3.
 
Sasa Felixova would clinch the match for the Rambelles after defeating Jasmine Crain in a three-set thriller. 3-6, 7-5, 6-1.
 
The Belles will return to LSC action on Apr.4th when they take on St. Mary's with the first serve scheduled for 10:00 a.m. in San Antonio, Texas.
