Kingsville, Texas - The Angelo State track and field teams recorded seven provisional marks at their opening outdoor meet of the season, the Blue & Gold Battle hosted by Texas A&M-Kingsville.
The Rambelles walked away with four provisional marks, highlighted by Ekaterina Fedetova's mark of 165-4 (50.39 meters) in the javelin throw, which was a new meet record.
Marie Schuler and Esma Pajt recorded provisionals in the hammer throw with best throws of 187-4 (57.10 meters) and 175-6 (53.50 meters), respectively.
Kaylee Price set the lone Rambelles' provisional time on the track, crossing the line in the 400m hurdles with a meet-record time of 1:01.80.
The Rams notched three qualifying marks, two of which came in field events.
In the pole vault, Jonathan Weight finished with a best mark of 16-5.25 (5.01 meters) and Vanam Sharma notched a qualifying mark in the discus with a best throw of 175-3 (53.42 meters).
Coy Klish tallied the Rams' lone provisional mark on the track, crossing the line in the 100m dash with a time of 10.45 seconds.
The Rambelles and Rams are back in action next weekend at the Division II Indoor Championships.
