No. 18 Rambelles Garner Third Seed in South Central Regional

Indianapolis, Ind. – The Angelo State softball team has qualified for its 20th NCAA Tournament in program history and will be the three seed in this week's South Central regional, the NCAA announced this morning on its selection show.

The Rambelles will open the tournament on Thursday against sixth-seeded Texas A&M-Kingsville in a rematch of Saturday's LSC Tournament Championship, which saw the Rambelles pull out a 5-3 win over the Javelinas to claim their eighth LSC Tournament title.

West Texas A&M is the second seed and will host this side of the regional; they open against RMAC Tournament champions CSU Pueblo, who are the seventh seed.

This marks the third-straight week ASU will be playing in Canyon.

The other side of the South Central regional bracket features top-seeded Colorado Christian, fourth-seeded UT Tyler, fifth-seeded Oklahoma Christian, and eighth-seeded St. Mary's.

The Rambelles enter the postseason with a 46-12 overall record.
