Four Rambelles Selected to NFCA All-South Central Region Teams

Louisville, Ky. – The Angelo State softball team had four of its members named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-South Central team, the organization announced this morning.

Zoey Sifuentes and Tatiana Trotter were named to the first team, while Addy Ewing and Ashleigh Dendas were tabbed as second team selections.

Sifuentes, the LSC Freshman of the Year, has experienced a breakout rookie season in San Angelo, leading the Rambelles with a .408 batting average, 21 doubles, and 74 RBI.

The Exercise Science student has hit 15 home runs in her rookie season and has an .821 slugging percentage. The Lamesa product has carried two separate hit streaks of 12 and 11 games, respectively, during the season.

Joining Sifuentes on the first team is Trotter, who earns the fourth all-region honor of her career and her second consecutive season being named an NFCA First Team All-Region selection.

The lone four-year letterwinner on this year's team is hitting .358 with 17 home runs and driving in 55 runs. The NFCA Division II Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season has recorded 18 career triples, the most in program history, and became the fifth player to surpass the 40-homer mark in an ASU career.

The Intelligence and Analysis student is slugging a team-best .830 and has held a 29-game streak where she reached base.

Ewing, the LSC Tournament Most Outstanding Player, earns her first all-region accolade in her debut season for the Blue and Gold.

The Kinesiology student carries a 2.10 ERA and a 16-0 overall record. Having thrown 110 innings this season, the Exercise Science student holds opponents to a .239 batting average and has recorded four saves.

Dendas, like Ewing, earns her first all-region award at Angelo State, joining her teammate on the region's second team.

The junior from Sacramento, California, has been a two-way threat for the Rambelles in the circle and the heart of the ASU lineup, hitting .348 with 42 runs driven in, and leads the Rambelles by being hit by 20 pitches.

In the circle, the Applied Psychology student is 10-6 with a 3.55 ERA. She has struck out 63 batters in 100.2 innings of work, holding opponents to a .258 batting average.
