SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State men's basketball team dominated Dallas Christian in a tune-up exhibition Monday in the Auxiliary Gym in the Junell Center.
The Rams, who are 8-3 in regular season play and 1-1 in conference, had six players finish in double figures, hitting 17 three-pointers and racking up 32 assists in the win. Â
Ronald Bell led all scorers with 17 points and dropping in five dimes. Two players finished with more assists than Bell, however, in Kiair Crouch and Jordan Caldwell, who each had six.
Point guard Paull Williams finished second on the team with 15 pints, Josh Boutte had 14, Yildon Mendoza scored 13, Jordan Caldwell had 12 and James Kirksey scored 11 points.
More than half (70) of the Rams points were scored by players who came off the bench.
Angelo State will resume regular season and Lone Star Conference play this Saturday with a road trip to Texas A&M-Kingsville where they will take on the Javelinas at 4 p.m.
