Rams move to 3-1 in conference with dominant win over Greyhounds

SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State men's basketball team moved to 10-3 (3-1 Lone Star Conference) with a nineteen point win over the Easter New Mexico Greyhounds, 88-69.

The Rams were led by Antonio Singleton, who poured in 26 points and had four rebounds while shooting 6-9 from three point range. Collin Turner also had an excellent outing with 18 points, three rebounds, and two assists, while Josh Boutte and James Kirksey notched 11 points each. The two combined for 14 rebounds, and Kirksey had four assists and four steals on the night.

After giving up the first basket of the game, the Rams went on a huge run spurred on by a couple of Antonio Singleton three pointers. From there, the lead never got below double digits. The Rams held the Greyhounds to 43 percent shooting for the game while shooting 57 percent themselves, including 48 percent from the three point line.

The Rams will be in action again Saturday as they face nationally ranked West Texas A&M at 4 p.m.
