SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State baseball team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2022 season.
 
A season after advancing the farthest ever in program history, reaching the Semifinals of the NCAA Division II College World Series, the Rams are primed to make a return.
 
The Lone Star Conference will revert to a four-game series format, featuring 48 conference games on the schedule this season.
 
ASU will open the season at home against UT Tyler, beginning Friday, Feb. 4. Along with the Patriots, the Rams will host Oklahoma Christian, Lubbock Christian, Texas A&M – Kingsville, West Texas A&M, and Cameron.
 
The only non-conference series schedule for the Rams will also be played at home as the Rams host Drury in a three-game series beginning Friday, Mar. 11.
 
The first road trip of the season will begin on Friday, Feb. 11 as the Rams travel to UAFS, playing in Fort Smith for the first time in program history. The Rams will also have key road matchups against St. Mary's and St. Edward's before closing out the regular season at UT Permian Basin.
 
For the LSC Tournament, the opening round will be at host sites before going to a neutral site for the Championship Finals in Cleburne, Texas.
