No. 13 Rams Host Eastern New Mexico for Three-Game Series

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The 13th-ranked Angelo State baseball team returns to Foster Field at 1st Community Credit Union Stadium this weekend as the Rams take on Eastern New Mexico in a three-game series beginning Friday.

LAST TIME OUT: 
The Rams avoid a sweep by No. 5 West Texas A&M, winning game three of the series 8-5. The Buffs took game one and two to clinch the series, giving the Rams the first series loss of the season.

ALL-TIME SERIES: Angelo State leads the all-time series 57-20. Last Meeting: ASU 10-0 
The Rams hold a big advantage in the all-time series against the Greyhounds, winning 57 games to 20. ASU has won the last seven straight contests, scoring 10-plus runs in each game. 

 
SCOUTING EASTERN NEW MEXICO: 
ENMU enters the weekend with a 6-23 overall record, going 5-21 in Lone Star Conference games. The Greyhounds have lost five straight games leading into Friday's opener, falling to Wayland Baptist in two games and were swept by Lubbock Christian. The Greyhounds have picked up wins over St. Mary's, UT Tyler and won three out of four games against UT Permian Basin. 
 
Eastern New Mexico ranks at the bottom of the conference in team batting average (.236) and in team ERA (9.70). They rank 11th in hits with 214 and have tallied the second fewest runs in the league with 133. 

Cole Luedeking leads the Greyhounds at the plate with a .322 batting average and have 12 RBIs off of 29 hits. Nicholas Tamez and drove in the most runs for ENMU, collecting 18 RBIs while batting .281. Josh Lewis has pitched the most innings for the Eastern, hollding a 5.11 ERA with 30 strikeouts through 37 innings of work.
