ASU Track & Field Opens Indoor Season at the Boo Rogers Combined Events

SAN ANGELO, Texas – The Angelo State track & field teams begin the indoor season this weekend as the Rams and Rambelles travel to Pittsburg, Kan., for the Boo Rogers Combined Event hosted by Pittsburg State.

The Rams will travel three competitors including returning LSC decathlon champion Kyle Lumpkins and newcomers Mark Burdin and Benjamin Blomqvist. Last year at the Boo Rogers meet. Lumpkins finished second overall in the heptathlon, posting a personal best 5,329 points.
 
On the women's side, the Belles travel Maricia Spence, Abby Zamzow, and Anna Riccomagno. Spence was the 2023 LSC pentathlon champion, posting a score of 3,889 points while Zamzow finished fifth in the event with 3,352 points.
 
This weekend will be the only meet the ASU during December before continuing the indoor season on Jan. 20 at the Southern Nazarene Invite.
