Rambelles Season Concludes at West Regional

DALLAS, Texas – At the conclusion of three rounds of play at the West Regional at the Golf Club of Dallas, Maria Sierra Sanz bettered her score each round as the Angelo State women's golf teams season came to a close.
 
DAY 1
  • Sierra Sanz had some struggles on day one, ending the day in a tie for 46th in the field, sitting plus-9, 79.
  • The first round was halted for over two hours due to a lightning delay, but the golfers were able to wrap up round one later in the day.
  • The senior would birdie one hole in the first round and finish with nine pars on day one.
 
DAY 2
  • In the second round, Sierra Sanz improved three strokes, shooting a plus-6, 76, which resulted in her remaining in a tie for 46th.
  • Sierra Sanz had three birdies her second time around the course to go along with eight pars.
  • Sierra Sanz saved her best for last, delivering a final round plus-4, 74 to finish the West Central Regional in a tie for 42nd.
  • The individualist was able to climb four spots in the final round after carding a birdie and 13 pars in round three, including a plus-1, 36 on the back nine.
  • Sierra Sanz finished the tournament plus-19, 229 as the final round this season for the Blue and Gold ended, capping off a wonderful season in Head Coach Keith McCutchen's last year with Angelo State.
