The ninth-ranked Angelo State football team opens Lone Star Conference play on the road this weekend as the Rams travel to the West Coast for a matchup against Central Washington on Saturday at Tomlinson Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT: The Rams suffered their first regular-season loss in 18 weeks last Saturday, falling to No. 2 Colorado School of Mines 31-21. ASU held a 21-17 early in the fourth quarter but were unable to hang on. The Rams finished with 354 total yards of offense with 278 yards coming through the air.

The Rams are 2-0 against the Wildcats since Central Washington joined the LSC in football. ASU earned a 22-12 win at home last season to clinch the Lone Star Conference Championship title. Last time in Ellensburg, the Rams came back late to win 14-9 after a touchdown with less than a minute to go.
