Lubbock, Texas – The Angelo State cross country teams wrapped up their second meet of the season on Friday morning at the Texas Tech Open, with the Rambelles finishing eighth overall as a team, beating three LSC schools in the process.
The course the teams ran on today, the LCU Cross Country Course, will be the course that hosts the NCAA South Central Regional later this fall.
RAMS
- Trey Showen led the Rams with an 84th-place finish, crossing the line with a 6K time of 28:44.70.
- Wesley Rogers (30:05.80) and Austin Souther (30:54.90) were the next finishers for the Rams, and Tate Hughes wrapped up the Rams' runners for the event with a time of 31:19.70.
RAMBELLES
- Anna Eischen paced the Rambelles as she finished 26th overall with a 6K time of 24:47.30.
- Mary Brown and Carley Thornton finished 42nd and 43rd, respectively, with times of 25:18.00 for Brown and a 25:20.50 for Thorton.
- Shadae Findley also finished in the top 50 for the Rambelles in 48th with a time of 25:34.50.
- Allison Vaughn (55th) and Marina Grimaldo (59th) wrapped up the field for the Rambelles.
The Rams and Rambelles are back on the course on October 11
th to host the ASU Blue and Gold Classic.
