SAN ANGELO – The Angelo State men's basketball team had four players in double figures scoring as they claimed a 66-53 victory over Texas A&M International on Saturday afternoon inside the Junell Center – Stephens Arena.
The Rams, who never trailed in the contest, shot 50 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from three. For the third game in a row, the Rams out-rebounded their opposition, doing so 32-29 against TAMIU.
Kaden Evans led all players with 16 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the field and 4-for-7 from three-point line. He grabbed five rebounds and had four steals, the third time this season he's had four steals in a single game.
Denim Dawson scored a career-high 13 points in 19 minutes off the bench. The junior made five of his six field goal attempts and added three assists.
Damonze Woods came up just shy of a double-double with ten points and eight rebounds, also shooting 5-for-6 from the field.
Jalen Gilmore, like Woods, scored ten points, making all four of his shot attempts, including a pair of threes. The junior point guard also led all players with six assists.
Shemar Smith recorded three steals as the Rams forced the Dustdevils into 19 turnovers.

The Rams improve to 5-2 on the season and 2-1 in LSC play. They are on the road next weekend to take on Oklahoma Christian and Cameron.
