RICHARDSON, Texas – Angelo State baseball's
Dax Dathe was named the Lone Star Conference Pitcher of the Week for his performance against UAFS this past weekend.
Dathe, a junior interdisciplinary studies major from Round Rock, Texas, came out of the bullpen with no outs in the second inning and finished the game, allowing no runs on two hits – both singles – with eight strikeouts and no walks. Dathe, who leads the conference in strikeouts, got the Game 3 win (5-2) for Angelo State against UAFS and tilted the series in the Rams' favor. Batters hit just .100 over six innings against the right-hander.
The Rams are back at home this weekend as they host a four-game series against Oklahoma Christian.
